The venture capital firm TA Ventures and the private investor club ICLUB have invested in Spanish digital health startup Impress. The fund participated in a 5 million seed round, in which Bynd VC, Sabadell VC and several European venture angels also invested.
In addition, TA Ventures and ICLUB have invested in US startup Queue.
The transaction amounts were not disclosed. However, as a rule, TA Ventures invests in the range of $ 250,000 to $ 1 million.
What is Impress
Impress is headed by the chief orthodontist doctor H. Kassem and entrepreneurs Dilyara and Volodymyr Lupenko.
Impress is a network of clinics owned by the company that specializes exclusively in invisible orthodontics using transparent aligners that are individually customized for each patient using 3D scanning and artificial intelligence.
Impress focuses on digitizing the treatment process and customer service. This is achieved primarily by optimizing costs and, as a result, democratizing prices.
In a year, Impress managed to scale its network to more than 40 cities in Spain, Portugal and Italy. The company is now planning to launch in the UK, France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
TA Ventures was the first venture capital firm to support Impress, and TA Ventures partner Oleg Malenkov became a board member of Impress.
Impress is using the funding it receives to build new clinics in cities where they are in short supply. The company is also investing in digitalizing other processes to optimize treatment time and cost.

Queue.gg – is a platform that allows creators to receive feedback and communication in real-time. Users can view and leave real-time reviews of videos, audios, images, and more. Thousands of video producers and esports coaches are already using this platform.
Two weeks after Y Combinator Queue raised $ 1 million in investment from TA Ventures, Silicon Valley venture capital firms and angel investors. TA Ventures partner Oleg Malenkov found this startup even before he entered the Y Combinator program and participated in the Summer 2020 Demo Day 1.
Use the funds raised by the Queue to hire engineers, marketers and designers.
