An interdisciplinary analytical center has been launched at KNU – in general, 5 will be created in Ukraine

At the Kyiv National University. Taras Shevchenko created the Interdisciplinary Analytical Center. It investigates the socio-economic and mental health of the Ukrainian. The center began work today, July 6, 2020.

Specialists of the Institute of Psychiatry, the Faculty of Economics and the Institute of Law of KNU and the like will work in it.

It is important that the scientific research of the center concern, in particular, the problems caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“In addition to conducting research, the center also has an expert function. And we hope that his findings and data will become an important basis for decision-making at the executive level”, – explained Hanna Tolstanova, head of the research department of KNU.

It is worth noting that the project won a grant from the Renaissance International Foundation as part of the Institutional Development of University Analytical Centers initiative. In total, more than 50 centers took part in the competition, of which 5 won.

So, analytical centers will also be created in such universities:

  • the B. Grinchenko Kyiv University;

  • Center for Social and Humanitarian Aspects of Regional Studies of Sumy State University

  • MOO Kyiv Economic Institute (Kyiv School of Economics);

  • the Vasily Stefanik Carpathian National University (Educational and Scientific Center for Sociological Research).
