The government identified the priorities of activities in the field of education and science
We already wrote that the Verkhovna Rada adopted amendments to the State Budget 2020: the Ministry of Education and Science managed to maintain funding for most key programs, and in the budget kept funding for NASU programs for young scientists.“Creating conditions for high-quality and affordable pre-school education. Creating a modern educational and production infrastructure for vocational education institutions. Engaging local governments and businesses in the training of skilled workers and specialists”, – the document says.
The government will also work towards providing financial autonomy to higher education institutions and changing approaches to managing them.
In addition, it is planned to attract financial support from international partners for the implementation of reforms in higher and vocational education.
State funding of higher education institutions is planned on the basis of indicators of their educational, scientific and international activities.
In the field of science, the government intends to provide appropriate conditions for the effective activities of scientists and researchers, and to promote the development of applied research.
In addition, the priorities of the government include the development of infrastructure that provides favorable conditions for the creation and implementation (commercialization) by innovators of the results of their research and development, the introduction of grant financing of science and innovation.
