Project “Academic.City”
On February 14, 2020, the Innovation Center of the Kyiv Academic University (KAU) held a strategic session of representatives of research institutes of the NAS of Ukraine, located in the Academic campus. During the session, the issues concerning the formation of the main tasks and the action plan for the creation of the “Academic.City” Science Park were discussed.
The event was attended by representatives of the Institute of Metal Physics. G.V. Kurdyumov NAS of Ukraine, Institute of Materials Science. I.M. Frantsevich NAS of Ukraine, Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry, V.I. Vernadsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Institute of Physics and Technology of Metals and Alloys of NAS of Ukraine, F.D. Ovcharenko Institute of Biocolloid Chemistry of NAS of Ukraine, Institute of Environmental Geochemistry of NAS of Ukraine, Institute of Geochemistry, Mineralogy and Ore Formation of NAS of Ukraine, Institute of Applied Problems of Physics and Biophysics of NAS of Ukraine, O.O. Chuko Institute of Surface Chemistry of NAS of Ukraine and Institute of Technical Thermophysics of NAS of Ukraine.
Based on a preliminary questionnaire from the heads of the “Academic.City” institutes regarding the tasks of creating the Academic City Science Park and the forms of possible cooperation, the specialists of the UAC Innovation Center have proposed a plan of the first steps for the formation of the Science Park.
“Academic.City” Project Manager, Deputy Director of UAU for Development and Innovation, Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the Institute of Mathematics of the NAS of Ukraine Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Oleksandra Antonyuk made a short presentation summarizing the proposals of the institutions, priorities and priorities there is a request:
- Advertising development and customer search.
- Free Space: a platform for collaboration.
- Information services.
- Representing the common interests of the Academic town institutions in the authorities.
During a strategic session led by the President of the All-Ukrainian Association of Management Consultants, Olena Yuzkova, a common vision was identified by the institutes of an action plan to achieve the tasks set for the construction of the “Academic.City” Science Park. As a result, working groups have been formed from representatives of the Academic Campus and the UAA institutes to work on the action plan in accordance with agreed areas.
