The popularity of Ukraine is explained by a large number of local professionals who are ready to develop their products.
Ukraine took 29th place in the list of the most technologically advanced countries in the world. The rating was compiled by StartupBlink as part of the Startup Ecosystem Rankings study.
At the same time, Kyiv was recognized as a European hub. The capital took 32nd place among the technological capitals of the world. And in the European ranking, Kyiv took 8th place. The total number of cities in the ecosystem of Ukrainian startups has increased to seven – this year the Dnieper was on the list for the first time. At the same time, a huge gap between other cities from Kyiv is obvious.
The study notes that the popularity of Ukraine can be explained by a large number of local professionals who are ready to develop their products. A significant factor was also the low cost of organizing business – this is what attracts Western investors to the country.
The study authors called the main risk of Ukraine brain drain. “Brain drain is the main risk facing the local ecosystem, and the role of the public sector is to play their cards correctly and provide enough incentives to keep professionals in the country”, – the report says.
The first place in the ranking is occupied by the USA.
