Own astronomical observatory, hundreds of international agreements and advanced scientific research – T. Shevchenko KNU celebrates its 186th birthday
On July 28, 2020 celebrated the 186th anniversary of T. Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. For the second century, the university has not lost its prestige and professionalism in training applicants for education at all levels.
Thus, 26 thousand students study at the university and almost 3 thousand teachers work. In addition, KNU is included in the educational international rankings.
It should be noted that the university is actively involved in medical education. Since 2017, it already has its own university clinic for future doctors.
KNU also has an astronomical observatory – it is one of the leading scientific institutions in Ukraine. Now various projects are being implemented there – both for public funds and with the support of international partners.
It is important that the Astronomical Museum operates on the basis of the observatory, which has almost 20 thousand various scientific, natural and local history exhibits.
Kyiv University maintains international relations with universities from all over the world. KNU has concluded about 200 bilateral partnership agreements with foreign educational and scientific institutions. International scientific conferences, internships and research are held annually with the participation of the university.
