Online presentation of the “Entrepreneurial University” initiative
On Tuesday, September 22, at 10:00 am, an online presentation of the Entrepreneurial University initiative will take place.
The initiative is being implemented by the YEP startup incubator network in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Startup Fund with the support of the USAID Competitive Economy of Ukraine Program.
“Entrepreneurial University” is an initiative that aims to create an entrepreneurial movement in Ukraine, that is, universities with a strong culture of entrepreneurship and start-up infrastructure.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Diya.Business, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Professor Lewis Shistov (Entrepreneurship Clinic, University of North Carolina), Elena Donets (co-founder of Duco.io, Israel), Maret Ahonen ( IdeaLab, University of Tartu, Estonia), TechUkraine platform, Ruben Nivenheis (former director of StartupAmsterdam). Participants of the “Entrepreneurial University” will receive mentoring support from YEP, Diya.Biznes, Ukrainian Startup Fund, Cisco, OKKO, Genesis, REACTOR.UA, TechUkraine.
As part of the first stage of the initiative, the academic discipline “Innovative Entrepreneurship and Management for Startup Projects” was launched at 76 universities. By the end of the semester, 3,900 students will pass the course, the most active will be able to submit their startup projects to a competition in the Ukrainian Startup Fund.
The online presentation of the “entrepreneurial university” will be attended by:
- Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for European Integration Valeria Ionan
- United States Agency for International Development (USAID) mission leadership in Ukraine and Belarus
- Acting Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet
- Director of the Ukrainian Startup Fund Pavlo Kartashov
- Rector of the University of Banking Angela Kuznetsova
- Andriy Zaikin, founder and CEO of the YEP startup incubator network.
