The first startup center was opened at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”

The first SPARK startup center in Kharkiv was opened at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”. The purpose of the opening is to support startups at all stages of development: from developing an idea to its commercialization. The audience of “SPARK” will be young scientists, students and schoolchildren, and the main speakers – investors, representatives of funds, leading consulting agencies, businessmen from both Ukraine and the USA.

Presentation of an innovative space with an area of ​​over 600 sq. meters took place on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of NTU “KhPI” with the participation of the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykola Kizim, the leadership of the Kharkiv Technical University, the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, the Kharkiv City Council, universities, business incubators: Business Incubators, Chernivetsky Investment Group (CIG ), young scientists of NTU “KhPI”.

“What KhPI and other universities of Ukraine are doing in this area is the only right direction for the development of education and science. Only the symbiosis of education and science provides such a breakthrough in the economy that we want to have in our country. I am a Kharkiv citizen and I know the Kharkiv Polytechnic very well. The new innovative space of the KhPI is a huge step for our youth to study, work here and can make Ukraine successful. I wish that Kharkiv continues to be a majestic city, and the region becomes a leader in the innovative development of the country”, – Mykola Kizim noted.

SPARK operates in 7/24 mode and has two sectors. The first is a co-working area for 100 seats, equipped with multimedia equipment and a screen. The second sector has places with connections to laptops and computers. The center also provides a room for managers, a meeting room, a server room, a cafe, a shower room.
