In the US, a startup was launched to free housing from people
Who are unable to pay the rent.
American startup Civvl offered everyone to make money on people who are no longer able to pay rent. The company compares itself to Uber and offers $ 125 an hour to those who join the team and save the owners of premises from problems with defaulters, writes bagnet.org.
Civvl points out that against the background of record unemployment, the eviction service will be in great demand. “We have contracts with disaffected homeowners and banks who want to defend their rights”, – the announcement says.
As the newspaper notes, the very format of the work does not look very ethical. In fact, people who need a job and who are themselves at risk are asked to come into conflict with those who have similar problems.
At the same time, in the job description, Civvl uses the same arguments that are used by similar companies. That is, they promise employees that they will become their own bosses and will be able to work at a convenient time for themselves.
As leases get canceled more and more, the startup will need more and more employees, TechStartups notes, citing data from the online platform Apartment List. As of the first week of September, 29 percent of Americans are unable to completely cover their rent or mortgage payment.
Despite the fact that the United States has announced a ban on evictions at the federal level, homeowners continue to try to get rid of unscrupulous tenants. At the same time, they are threatened with a fine or even imprisonment if their actions are found illegal. Apparently, Civvl is not going to take any responsibility for the teams, but wants to act as an intermediary between them and the client.
