Multicopter complex, a device for growing greenery and a robotic platform with VR glasses – Ukrainian inventions won an international competition

Three projects from Ukraine became winners at the international youth competition Global Youth Science and Technology Bowl. The young inventors won one first place and were awarded two special prizes. The Hong Kong International Student Competition in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Engineering took place online this year due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The judges reviewed 74 projects in biology, chemistry, physics and engineering.

Olexandr Romensky won first place for the development of the METLA multicopter training complex for the training of unmanned aviation specialists.

Oleg Belous and Vladislav Kramarenko were awarded a special prize for their invention of AI Fresh Station – a home device with artificial intelligence for growing greenery and a special mobile application for its control.

Volodymyr and Yulia Anisimovy also received a special prize for the development of the Rotar robotic platform with a camera and VR glasses, controlled by a joystick.

Organized by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, the competition aims to showcase the world’s youth science and innovation. Scientific talents from all over the world had the opportunity to compete for prizes with their scientific developments and samples.
