Horizon Impact Award 2020
The application deadline is April 2, 2020.
The Horizon Impact Award, which was launched on February 13 this year, is an initiative by the European Commission to recognize and celebrate outstanding projects that have used their results to deliver value to society.
The award aims to show the wider socio-economic benefits of EU investment in research and innovation and to encourage project beneficiaries to best manage and use research findings.
The award recognizes and awards the most influential results of the project under Horizon 2020, the current EU Research and Innovation Program (2013-20) and its predecessor, the 7th Framework Program (FP7, 2007-13).
All legal entities, individuals or teams that have completed the FP7 project and/or Horizon 2020 project may participate in the competition. These projects must be closed by the time the application is submitted.
A total of 5 prizes of 10,000 euros each will be awarded. The contest is open until April 2, 2020. The winners will be invited to the European Research and Innovation Days held in Brussels, which will include a high-level audience and promoters of innovation in industry and the public sector.
Applicants will need to send a letter of support from at least one user or user community, indicating the importance of the study and how its use creates specific benefits for the particular user community. This user does not have to be an academic organization.
