The startup has created a contactless disinfectant. 3D printing drawings uploaded online
3D Tech Lviv startup, which makes deal with 3D modeling and printing, has developed a contactless disinfectant design. You can handle your hands simply by lifting them to the device without touching it.
It is not the first such device on the market, but the company sells it at cost (UAH 583, without filler). She also uploaded his drawings online to print and collect the same device to anyone. The AIN.UA editorial staff told the CEO of Pavlo Ezip.
According to him, as soon as quarantine began, the company decided to install hand sanitizers on the production.
“We wanted to keep the hands on our 3D farm clean, but we ran into the problem that there are no cheap contactless disinfectants and expensive ones at UAH 4000 we cannot afford it,” he says.
So they decided to design and print their own disinfectant on a 3D printer. The result is a device that handles non-contact and which can be refilled many times with any liquid solution. Its case is printed with PLA and PET plastic.
According to Pavlo, the project decided to do opensource. The device consists of easy-to-find, easy-to-find components and can be printed by anyone with minimal 3D printer skills. Its drawings and component list are on Thingiverse.
“We have made available to the public 3D files and a list of accessories: anyone in Ukraine can start producing the same disinfectants and refine our model. The story is similar to how the Czech Republic produces mask masks and valves print in Italy,” he says.
