Ukrainian youth are invited to participate in the World Short Story Competition
Ukrainian youth are invited to participate in the World Short Story Competition launched by UNESCO and the Idris Shah Foundation.
This is stated on the website of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to UNESCO.
“We invite talented Ukrainian youth aged 12 to 18 (inclusive) to participate in the World Short Story Competition. The competition started by UNESCO and the Idris Shah Foundation in close collaboration with the International Coalition of Inclusive and Sustainable Cities (ICCAR) in January 2020 to encourage creative youth to find innovative solutions to reducing the threats to our present and future – human rights violations, conflicts, racism and discrimination”, – the statement said.
The theme of the first edition of 2020 is “Once Upon a Time in My Future.”
In order to participate in the competition, a short story in the range of 250 to 500 words in English or French should be written in the usual Arial 12 font.

The story should be emailed to worldtales@unesco.org by April 30, 2020.
