Ukrainian IT company created a neural network that defines people without a mask in a crowd
Ukrainian developers have created a neural network that identifies who among the crowd in a protective mask and who without. Fulcrum IT Company has published the program code. About it reports bzh.life.
“Our goal was to see if we could identify people wearing masks on the streets using only webcams. This is not a commercial project, but it intrigued us. In just two weeks we were able to give an answer – yes”, – the developers say.
As noted, the developers first taught the neural network to recognize masks in images, then switched to video recordings.
The creators of the project note that the software can be introduced into production to make sure that employees wear masks.
“On the streets, it’s still too science fiction difficult to execute”, – the company said.
Earlier we wrote that The neural network finds crowds of people without masks. Ukrainians are among the creators.
