Acceptance of documents for receiving nominal scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada for young scientists – doctors of sciences continues until August 31

The Ministry of Education and Science reminds that the deadline for submitting documents of applicants for receiving personal scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for young scientists – doctors of science has been extended until August 31, 2020. The corresponding letter of the Ministry was sent to the vice-rector for scientific work of higher educational institutions, directors of scientific institutions and enterprises.

The decision to extend the deadline for accepting documents due to quarantine was previously made by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation.

An application for the nomination of an applicant is prepared by a scientific institution, a ZVO or an enterprise and, together with the materials, is submitted to the Ministry of Education and Science or to the subordination of the National Academy of Sciences, branch academies, and the relevant central executive authorities. This usually needs to be done before April 30, but this year the deadline is August 31.

Applicants’ documents must be drawn up in accordance with the relevant Instruction. In addition to the documents specified in it, you must submit 10 brochure copies of the annotation presentation.

We remind you that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine annually assigns up to 30 personal scholarships for young scientists – doctors of science. The winners of the competition receive monthly payments in the amount of five living wages for able-bodied persons, established for January 1 of the year of receiving the scholarship. This year 30 scientists receive scholarships in the amount of UAH 10,510.
