Investors are interested in building a powerful data center in Ukraine
Ukraine plans to build a data center with a capacity of 1 GW.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhailo Fedorov and Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation Olexandr Bornyakov met with investors who intend to implement a number of projects in Ukraine. In particular, representatives of Yom Capital Ltd are planning to build a computing data center in Ukraine.
The project provides for the construction of a center with a capacity of 1 GW. NNEGC Energoatom is currently being considered as a supplier of electricity.
The implementation of this project will be facilitated by the adoption of draft law No. 3199 “On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine” On the Electricity Market“, which will allow system investors to obtain a competitive tariff on transparent terms of a special auction and conclude a long-term contract for the supply of electricity with state-owned generating companies, including with NNEGC “Energoatom”.
