Engineers of the Kharkiv machine-building plant “FED” have developed a unique aircraft for Ukraine. The drone can detect emergency areas on communications, determine the level of traffic congestion in relation to traffic jams, regulate the operation of traffic lights, and the like.
This project will become a powerful breakthrough for Kharkiv and will significantly improve the work of all city services, the press service of the Kharkiv City Council reports.
Smart systems for improving housing and communal processes
The founder of the project, Olexiy Popov, said that such systems are massively developed abroad and are actively used in the so-called “smart cities”.
Kharkiv is expected to become the first city in the world to introduce a fully automatic remote monitoring system for the needs of housing and communal services.
What is the drone for?
The developed unmanned aerial vehicle will help:
- monitor traffic flows;
- correctly build the logistics of transport;
- regulate the work of traffic lights;
- observe emergency situations in the city and eliminate them in a timely manner;
- promptly respond to the facts of illegal developments.
Now the project is at the stage of approval, and soon the utilities will start testing the drone.
