Return of the Jedi. Xiaomi has developed a futuristic helmet – what is it for
Xiaomi has developed a smart Momoda head massager that looks very unusual and resembles a virtual reality helmet.
The gadget can now be pre-ordered on the Youpin crowdfunding platform for 599 yuan ($ 87).
Officially the product is called Momoda Smart Head Massager and allows you to perform three functions in one: neck, head and eye massage. It looks like a real motorcycle helmet with the only difference that the visor is opaque, and inside there is a whole series of sensors and massagers that help to relax.
The head massager uses three-dimensional pillows that surround the head, neck and eyes, providing users with a pleasant, versatile massage, the manufacturer says, paying attention to the unusual design of the device.
Momoda Smart Head Massager uses the best practices of traditional Chinese medicine in its work. For example, Xiaomi describes that “The seven convex silicone massage heads affect the main acupuncture points of the head such as Bai Hui and Tongtian Chengguan to stimulate the brain”.
During the eye massage, the pillows heat up to a temperature of 40 degrees, creating, in addition to the massage, a warm compress. According to Momoda developers, this massage relieves dryness, pain, and also helps to reduce tension in the eyes.
The neck is provided with a 3D pillow, high-frequency vibration and a hot compress with graphene, which relieve tension and fatigue of the neck muscles The gadget relaxes the neck muscles to prevent the “professional syndrome” of long work at the computer.
The device can operate on a single charge for up to 6-8 sessions thanks to the 2400 mAh battery.
