CICS opens an innovation school in Osokorki and invites at online tours and testing

On September 2020, on the Dnipro seafront, 14 will start its work a full-time school – Creative International Children’s School (CICS). This is a network of private schools with eight years of history and hands-on teaching methods.

How to teach in CICS

What theory will start an interesting experience or project – knows every student of this school. Often the opposite is true – the study of a topic begins with a practical study. This approach allows children to come to a conclusion on their own and gain knowledge based on experience.

Even at school they use the method of integrated learning. This is when one topic is considered in class, but it is explored in terms of two or more disciplines. Thus, students learn to understand the logical sequence and relationship between phenomena and processes.

In junior high school, there are “immersion waves”, almost the same as integrated learning. In this case, the younger students explore a global topic through the lens of all disciplines for a whole month.

Competencies

Modern school is about the experience and education of the individual. Being able to work in a team, the ability to generate bold ideas and find many different ways of their implementation, think critically, make creative decisions – without these competencies is impossible both personal and professional growth of any person. Therefore, it is necessary to start their development from childhood.

That is why at the CICS, students receive vocational guidance; visit real companies to find out how they function from the inside out; study management; work in teams; protect social and business projects; conduct real studies; learn several foreign languages ​​and communicate with native speakers; go to exchange programs at prestigious foreign schools; undergo a course “I-personality”, where they learn to set goals, manage emotions, interact with others qualitatively.

Such approaches help the learner to develop as a strong personality capable of creating a creative future. This is precisely the aim of the CICS.

Already in September, another school will operate in Kyiv – on the Dnipro seafront, 14.
