Ukrainian start-up company Augmented Pixels attracted investments from ICU
Ukrainian startup-company Augmented Pixels, which is working on augmented reality technologies, has attracted investments from the ICU group. The website of the investment group informs about it.
- The amount of the deal was not disclosed, but the founder of the company, Vitaly Goncharuk, told AIN.UA that the deal was structured as a convertible note (a loan with the ability to later pay off the shares in the company).
- The money raised in the company is going to be spent on further product development and hiring people. According to Honcharuk, the company plans to recruit 15-20 highly qualified specialists to the Kyiv and Odesa offices. Basically, we are talking about the developers and the sales team.
- Augmented Pixels is a Ukrainian augmented reality startup, formerly called AR23D. The company was founded by Vitaliy Goncharuk from Odessa in 2010; it attracted only about $ 5 million in investments.
- Now the company is developing technologies that allow robots to autonomously navigate in a space where there is no GPS navigation, technologies associated with 3D maps, etc.
- ICU is a Ukrainian investment company that has already invested in projects such as Petcube, 3DLOOK, Hideez.
