On April 6, online quarantine classes for students in grades 5-11 begin: the time and program of classes, where and how to join
On Monday, April 6, at 10:00 for the 5-11th grade students from all over the country the project “All-Ukrainian School Online” will start – lessons from 11 subjects will be broadcast by Ukrainian TV channels and YouTube channel of the Ministry of Education and Science.
The project was made possible by the joint efforts of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Education, Science and Innovation, the public association “Osvitoriya”, as well as 40 indifferent teachers who declared to become teachers for the whole country.
“Our task as a state is to provide every child with free access to knowledge”, said President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
Lessons in Ukrainian language, Ukrainian literature, Ukrainian history, world history, English, physics, algebra, geometry, geography, chemistry and biology will be broadcast.
Lessons for all classes will be available on the Ministry of Education and Science’s YouTube channel. Each class also has a TV channel or media resource that will broadcast lessons for those children who, for various reasons, are unable to watch them online.
So, classes are assigned to the following TV channels:
- Grade 5 – Плюс-Плюс та 112 Україна
- Grade 6 – ZOOM та News One
- Grade 7 – ZIK
- Grade 8 – Індиго та УНІАН
- Grade 9 – Рада та UA:Культура
- Grade 10 – UA:Перший
- Grade 11 – М1
Classes will be held daily, Monday through Friday, until the end of the quarantine. They will start every day at 10:00.
Next week’s class schedule can be downloaded for: 5th grade, 6th grade, 7th grade, 8th grade, 9th grade, 10th grade, 11th grade as well as general online school schedule.
On the MES YouTube channel, in the description, under each video, teachers will also leave homework to pinpoint topics that students can do to better capture the material. Tasks will be given on the most common textbooks in the country. Links to electronic versions of these textbooks can also be found in the description below the video.
Filming is taking place at the Novopechersky School in Kyiv. Ukrainian stars participate in the video lessons: presenters, musicians, actors, athletes and more. They answer questions, solve problems, and conduct experiments with teachers.
Organizers are urging parents to download a lesson schedule and encourage children to learn. Stay home! Let’s study at home!
