Ministry of Education and Science announces the selection of applicants for the status of the National Research and Education Network

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, in order to ensure optimal representation of Ukraine in the EaPConnect 2 and GEANT projects, announces the selection of applicants for the status of the National research and education network.

This status can only be obtained by Internet service providers whose specialization is to support research and educational communities within Ukraine.

The main selection criteria are:

• availability of telecommunication facilities;
• the ability to support a high-speed backbone network, including dedicated lines for selected research projects;
• understanding the role and main activities of the National research and education network
• the ability to make full payment of the necessary contributions for full participation in the EaPConnect 2 and GEANT projects.

Reasoned proposals for consideration of candidates, which contain information on compliance with the above criteria, please send to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine by official letters by October 20, 2020. To speed up the processing of information, scanned copies of official letters, please send an email to Andriy Yuryevich Vasilenko, a state expert on strategies and policy coordination of the Science and Innovation Directorate (vasylenko@mon.gov.ua).

After completing the selection, proposals from candidates, submitted reasoned proposals in accordance with the above criteria, will be considered by the Commission for the review of candidates for the status of the National research and education network (National research and education network).

The date and format of the meeting of the Commission of candidates will be announced later.
