The State Prizes of Ukraine in the field of education were awarded

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on the award of the State Prizes of Ukraine in the field of education in 2019.

The prizes were awarded on the basis of the submission of the Committee for the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of education.

In accordance with the Decree, 20 people were awarded State Prizes in three nominations:

• “Preschool and out-of-school education” – for the complex scientific and applied for work “Perspective and continuity between preschool and primary education by means of integrated personality-oriented technology in the conditions of the New Ukrainian school”;
• “Vocational education” – for the work “Integrated educational information environment and rehabilitation measures to ensure equal access to quality education for persons with special educational needs”;
• “Higher education” – for the work “The pedagogical system of a higher military educational institution in the context of the development of the security and defense sector of Ukraine”.

“The nominations in which the State Prizes were awarded are extremely important for education. The reform of general secondary education has already begun and is ongoing. The President and the Government prioritize the reform and development of education, in particular preschool, vocational and higher education. The achievements of scientists and practitioners will become the basis for the development and adoption of further decisions”, – said the acting Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet.

The size of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of education for 2019 is UAH 166,000 each.
