New competition from EU: European Commission invites Ukrainian researchers to take part in virtual trainings

The European Commission invites Ukrainian researchers and other stakeholders to take part in virtual trainings on the new European Green Deal competition.

The competition is organized within the framework of the eight European Union Framework Program for Research and Innovation “Horizon 2020”.

The announcement of the start date of the competition is scheduled for mid-September 2020.

The first virtual training on participation in the new European Green Course competition will take place on September 18, 2020, starting at 10.00.

“European Green Deal” is a new program for the EU countries and Ukraine. The European Green Deal plans to cut greenhouse gas emissions in the European Union by 50-55% by 2030. And by 2050 – to reach zero greenhouse gas emissions.

In January 2020, an interdepartmental working group was created to coordinate the mitigation of climate change consequences within the framework of the European Commission’s initiative “European Green Deal” and the Regulation on its activities was approved (Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of January 24, 2020 No. 33).
