The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine has developed an artificial intelligence that will analyze if criminals can do something again
The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine has created and is starting to actively use software with elements of artificial intelligence. It involves an analysis of the likelihood of committing new crimes.
This was announced by the Minister of Justice of Ukraine Denis Malyuska on Facebook.
He said that the program was named Cassandra and it was on the laptop. According to the minister, such artificial intelligence should facilitate the work of approbation employees who prepare a pre-trial report. The document describes the identity of the accused, as well as an assessment of the likelihood of committing new crimes.
“According to Cassandra, this process is automated by putting answers to questions within the software. At the exit, the approbation employee receives an estimate of the probability of committing a new crime from 0 to 97. Such an assessment is carried out by an algorithm that gives a particular point for answering each question, and then makes them sad. In fact, this is basic, simple, but, nevertheless, artificial intelligence”, – says Malyuska.
In addition, the Minister of Justice announced that very soon Cassandra will learn to independently determine how many points must be given for answering a particular question. And after a few years, he will learn to analyze not only the answers to a simple list of questions, but also all other data that is about the criminals.
