The Ukrainian EOS team received a grant of 300,000 euros from the European Commission
The Ukrainian team of the American company EOS Data Analytics, which specializes in the analysis and processing of large GIS data, will monitor mining operations in Europe. The European Commission awarded the company a grant in the amount of $ 308,000. Representatives of EOS Data Analytics told AIN.UA.
What happened
- The EOS Data Analytics team has become one of 16 teams involved in the Goldeneye program.
- Its main task is reportedly to improve safety and reduce the environmental impact of the mining industry, as well as increase the efficiency of mines and quarries through combined monitoring from space and on the ground.
- The project is designed for 3 years. The total budget was € 8.3 million.
- Within the framework of the Goldeneye program, specialists from Ukraine will develop a satellite data analysis system for mining in Europe.
