IT Arena has opened a call for applications for the startup competition. Prizes – from $ 10,000 per project
IT Arena has started accepting applications for participation in the annual startup competition. Teams will be able to present their projects to investors and win a grant of up to $ 10,000.
This year’s event will take place online for the first time due to the pandemic. The dates of the event have also changed – October 8-10.
What a competition
IT Arena is one of the largest IT conferences in Ukraine, which annually gathers thousands of people in Lviv. These are specialists of all stripes, investors, start-ups, geeks and just interested ones.
Last year, 120 teams took part in the startup competition, the winners received a total of $ 100,000 in investments.
The winner of the IT Arena Startup Competition 2018 was Liki24, Ukrainian drug discovery and delivery platform that recently raised $ 5 million. The winner in 2019 was Legal Nodes, a startup that helps tech companies resolve legal issues. After the victory, their growth gained momentum. The team expanded its network to 110+ law firms in 20+ different countries.
What prizes
This year CRDF Global will act as the main grantor. Such prizes will be drawn between the participants:
- $10 000 to best startup,
- $6000 for second place,
- $5000 for third place.
The teams will also compete for jobs at SputnikSpace Coworking, free mentoring support, a grant for a trip to Europe and participation in the acceleration program. The total prize pool this year is $ 70,000.
Who can participate?
Startups that were founded no more than two years ago and that have a demo version of the product are invited to participate in the Startup Competition. The number of previous investments must not exceed $ 100,000.
