The fifth competition of scientific projects of young scientists has begun, universities and scientific institutions of the Ministry of Education and Science must submit proposals by September 25

On August 15, 2020, the Ministry of Education and Science announced the fifth competition for projects of scientific works and scientific and technical developments of young scientists. The corresponding order has already been posted on the website of the Ministry.

Young scientists who work or study at universities or research institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Science can participate in the competition. The project manager must be either a candidate of sciences under the age of 35 or a doctoral student (doctor of sciences) under the age of 40. The age limit for performers is 35.

Works are accepted in 11 directions, which correspond to the priorities of the EU research and innovation program “Horizon-2020”.

The selection is carried out in two stages:

  1. At the level of higher educational institutions and scientific institutions. It is necessary to complete the selection and submit projects to the Ministry of Education and Science in the unified information system “Science in Universities” by September 25, and in paper form – by September 30;
  2. At the level of MON. By October 21, an examination of projects should be carried out, which is carried out by sections in professional areas of the Expert Council of the Ministry of Education and Science. Until October 30, the Competition Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science must analyze the work of the Expert Council and determine the projects recommended for implementation. The list of winners is approved by order of the Ministry of Education and Science, deadline – August 12.

Projects will start in 2021.
