Ukrainian Awesomic raised a round from European investors. Fundraising began at the height of the quarantine
Startup Awesomic has announced a round of investments from European investors. The amount of the deal was not disclosed. According to the CEO of the company Roman Sevastyanov, the amount is six figures, comparable to the average pre-seed rounds in the USA.
What kind of team?
Awesomic — is a platform with which you can find a designer and complete a task in a short time. According to the developers, the user just needs to register on the platform, set a task – and he will receive the result in 24 hours.
“During the year of work, we have already worked with such companies as PeopleAI, Restream, Very Good Security and more than 80 others”, – says CEO.
Who invested the money?
A number of European investors have invested in the project, among them – the founder of Acrobator VC Bas Godska; Matthias Eklof, founder of Yell; Martin Henk, co-founder of Pipedrive; Mikko Silventola, Chairman of Frontier VC; Ragnar Sass, co-founder of Pipedrive, Garage48, and founder of Salto Network, Lift99.
How did the investments attract?
The team began fundraising in early April, when quarantine measures and lockdowns were actively implemented around the world. “It’s definitely not the best time to look for investments”, – the team recalls.
The team decided that until the end of the fundraising period, they would maintain a self-isolation regime, and worked in this way for 4 months.
The company will spend the raised money on expansion into the EU and the USA, as well as on new employees. Now Awesomic is looking for people in the marketing and sales department.
