The international exhibition AGRO-2020 has opened in Kyiv
As Ukrinform reports, the Prime Minister Denis Shmygal in his welcoming speech at the opening of the exhibition said that the agricultural sector of Ukraine should not only be a supplier of raw materials, but also apply the best scientific technologies, improve processing processes so that added value and profits remain in the state.
“The opening of the exhibition is an outstanding event not only for Ukraine, but also for the whole world, since Ukraine occupies a leading position in the agro-industrial business. The first places, the first ten and wheat, and corn, barley, wheat … Today at the exhibition, I am sure the best enterprises of the agro-industrial sector, the best equipment, technologies, the best innovations, scientific institutions, industrial manufacturers, those who are leaders in Ukraine and in the world are presented. Greetings, thank you for your work, for paying taxes, for the jobs that you create”, – said Shmygal.
He added that the government pays great attention to programs for the development of the agricultural sector – these are areas of reforming land relations, land management, these are areas of support for small businesses, small farming.
“These are, of course, processing programs in the agro-industrial sector and a number of other sectors that are really being paid attention to today … Today, during the tour of the exhibition, we will be able to talk about some things that need more attention,” the Prime Minister urged.
He thanked the agrarians for the fact that during the crisis, during the trials in Ukraine and the world, the agrarians of Ukraine remained “an island on which the Ukrainian economy rests and collectives and families rely”.
As reported, the agro-industrial exhibition AGRO-2020 will be held in Kyiv on August 11-14.
