Facebook launches startup accelerator. Ukrainians can also be served

Facebook is launching two 12-week acceleration programs in commerce and communications. Ukrainian startups can take part in one of them.

About programs

One of them — Commerce Accelerator — will select 60 startups from the EMEA region, which includes both Ukraine and LATAM (Latin America).

Residents will develop shopping solutions to integrate into the Facebook app ecosystem. Thus, the company wants to find new ideas and opportunities for the development of its commercial part.

The second program is called Connectivity, which will select 30 startups from LATAM and North America. They will work on Internet access solutions to enable at least 100,000 new users to go online.

Facebook annually launches acceleration programs in various fields. In total, the company has already launched 11 such accelerators in different countries. This year, training will take place in a remote format due to the coronavirus pandemic.

What startups get

Residents will be able to undergo free training, receive individual support from a mentor from the company and access to Facebook products, the company’s expertise and a global partner network, which includes, among other things, successful entrepreneurs.

Facebook does not provide financial support this time.

To apply for participation, you need to fill out the form.
