Estonia starts accepting visa applications for remote workers
Estonia has started accepting applications for digital Nomad Visa remote workers. You can apply from August 1, 2020. This was reported by the press service of the e-Residency program.
What it is
A digital visa will allow foreigners to work in Estonia for up to one year. This applies to people employed mainly in technology, finance or marketing.
Depending on the length of stay, you are offered to choose between two visa options:
- short-term (C-visa), worth € 80;
- long-term (D-visa) for € 100.
What is required from applicants
To get a visa you need:
- confirmation of the status of a remote worker or digital nomad;
- confirmation of monthly income for the last 6 months;
- confirmation that the account has a minimum of € 116.8 per day (or € 3504 for the first month).
It is specified that with Digital Nomad Visa people can work not only in Estonia itself, but also under a contract for a company located outside of Estonia.
