Supercomputer will be used to analyze data on coronavirus
In the United States of America, a supercomputer will be used to process coronavirus data. This was reported by the press service of the US Department of Health and Human Services.
We are talking about the fastest supercomputer in the country, Summit, which is located at the US National Laboratory. It was created by IBM Corporation. For nearly two years, Summit was considered the fastest computer in the world, but in June 2020, the status passed to the Japanese supercomputer “Fugaku”.
The Department of Veterans Affairs and the US Department of Energy will also be involved in the COVID-19 data exchange and analysis program. The ultimate goal of the program is to create a vaccine and drugs that can help those infected.
