On June 13 and 14, a new time forum “On the Borders” will take place – the first virtual interactive event for civil society in Europe. The event will gather on a digital platform 2,000 participants, selected through competitive selection, as well as leading experts, opinion leaders, thinkers, artists and artists. The initiator of the forum is the Social Innovation Fund “From the Country in Ukraine” with the assistance of USAID DG East.
The Ukrainian company ZLAB specifically for the event created a virtual space in which it will be possible to interact by choosing an avatar. The unique properties of the platform make it possible to communicate with groups of people in virtual time mode, exchange messages in secret chats, listen to lecturers, attend artists’ performances, share impressions on social networks and even take selfies. This is the future of mass events, especially in conditions when personal interaction is significantly limited.
Among the curators of the forum who will become mentors and coordinators of the discussions are Valentyn Krasnoperov, Igor Kozlovsky, Iryna Bek, Kateryna Safonova, Oleg Bodnar, Mladen Kachurets, Olena Severenchuk and Julia Fediv. During the discussion panels, issues of personal identity in the face of cardinal changes, the role of social activity in the modern world and the vector of future development of Ukraine will be discussed. “At the Borders” intends to begin an important national dialogue, which will continue after its end.
“The forum is primarily designed for people who, due to circumstances, find themselves in unusual conditions – internally displaced people, residents of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, and the like. We propose to come together to find the answer to the question “How is it to be Ukrainian today and tomorrow?” What can each of us do to improve the life of our community and country?”. We invite everyone who wants to find their place in the new realities to share this unique experience with us”, – said Denis Bloshchinsky, Chairman of the Board of the Social Innovations Fund “From the Country in Ukraine” and Forum Ideologist.
In addition, each of the participants will be able to take part in the creation of the “Book of 2000 Authors”, collections of thinks and success stories, accurate thoughts and open questions about real Ukrainian life, collected during the event. In the evening, the forum will invite guests to a unique entertainment program in virtual reality with the participation of Alyona Alyona, ТНМК, БЕZ Обмежень, O.Torvald and others.
