Ukrainian Startup Fund Holds Sixth Pitch Day
On May 26, the Ukrainian Startup Fund held the sixth Pitch Day. Given the quarantine, the event took place remotely using the ZOOM video conferencing service. Presentations (pitch) were made by 10 startups. Four of them are at the pre-seed stage (applying for state grant funding in the amount of $ 25,000 each) and six at the seed stage ($ 50,000 each).
The event was launched with a motivational speech Pavlo Kartashov, Director of the Fund:
“Our mission is to promote the development and creation in Ukraine of technological startups at an early stage in order to increase their competitiveness. We provide financing for such startups, as well as provide assistance for their incubation or acceleration and look for any other opportunities (search for partners, investors) to facilitate in the development of such startups and the startup ecosystem as a whole. Soon we will begin selecting accelerators for approval and after that we will begin our acceleration program. A number of accelerators (both Ukrainian and international) will be accredited by the Fund. Accelerator requirements are approved by the Supervisory Board. They are sufficient. They’re high, because we want to make the best possible selection so that start-ups get support on the way to entering international markets. We will do our best to make your activity as effective as possible and you will find support from the state to realize your goals and plans. I wish you success, good pitch and victory!”.
