Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute and Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg sign scientific cooperation agreement
Students and teachers of Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute will be able to take internships in Germany or to implement scientific projects together with foreign scientists. This is envisaged by the cooperation agreement between KPI and the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, signed by the rectors of universities in early March.
During the meeting the partners signed 2 documents. The first – the general agreement – provides for the possibility of short-term academic exchange of students, graduate students, academics and teachers. In addition, Ukrainians together with German scientists will be able to work on bilateral scientific projects, organize joint forums and exhibitions.
Another document – a double diploma agreement – will allow students to study electrical engineering and mechanical engineering to study at a master’s degree at the same time in two higher education institutions: KPI and Magdeburg University.
“The German Education Center has been operating in our university for many years. We focus on Germany and German-speaking countries. Also, German lecturers regularly attend classes for Polytech students. Therefore, I have no doubt that in the future we will actively cooperate and expand our work in many areas”, said the KPI Rector Yevgeny Sokol.
