All-Ukrainian Forum “Innovation Fest” invites to a competition of startups
The Fifth Innovation Fest Forum will be held on May 14, 2020 in Kyiv. Its organizer – the Ministry of Education of Ukraine – conceived the event as a link between technical and scientific innovation and production.
According to the website of Kharkiv Regional State Administration, 2018 finalist Valentin Frechka, who proposed the technology of making paper from fallen leaves, is testing the enterprise and is preparing to launch a large-scale processing line. Last year’s winner of the competition – a CamTouch startup that allows you to turn any surface into an interactive whiteboard, represented Ukraine at the largest technology conference of the world “Startup Grind Global 2020” in California.
“Innovation Fest is a platform where our scientists, innovators and start-ups can showcase their best projects, seek their financial support, and meet potential investors. That is one of the steps to what we currently lack – effective communication between science and business. And it is precisely the construction of such communication that will be one of the priorities of our work as a ministry for this and the coming years”, says First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Yuriy Polyukhovich.
The following events are planned at this year’s Innovation Fest:
- presentation of innovative developments;
- IT-EUREKA competition;
- competition for innovative projects;
- the pitches of YEP! Starter finalists;
- educational trainings;
- Round table “Development of innovative ecosystem in higher education institutions of Ukraine”.
Participation in the Forum activities is free of charge, with prior registration until May 8, 2020.
The Government portal reminds that registration for 2 projects for innovators is currently underway: IT-EUREKA and Innovation projects.
