Enterprise and Innovation Culture – MES has signed a memorandum with UNIT.City
Pupils, scientists and anyone else who studies innovation will get more opportunities for start-ups and entrepreneurship in Ukraine. They will be able to use the resources of UNIT.City Innovation Park for this purpose. The corresponding memorandum was signed by the Minister of Education and Science Ganna Novosad with the CEO of the company Dominic Piote and managing partner Konstantin Yevtushenko on February 24, 2020.
“It is very important for us to expand the range of partners willing to take real action with us to develop innovation and entrepreneurship among young people. Now we are getting another partner to work with UNIT.City. For our part, we will assist and facilitate all activities related to the educational field”, said Ganna Novosad.
The document provides for the joint organization of various events. They need to raise awareness of modern information technology, business culture, startup ecosystems and more.
“It is very important for UNIT.City to keep in touch with the academic environment and with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, as we implement the latest education systems we are testing within UNIT.City. Education based on innovation and technology is at the heart of everything we do. Today, 37% of our territory is donated to educational projects. We already have experience in supporting the public sector. This is where the Ukrainian Startup Fund is located, which successfully implements state innovation policy. The Ministry can count on us both within our expertise and within our ongoing work for the benefit of building a new Ukrainian education”, said Konstantin Yevtushenko.
The partners will share their experiences in teaching students entrepreneurship, innovative thinking and flexible skills. In addition, they will improve Ukrainian legislation in this area through cooperation.
Other areas of cooperation include supporting partnerships with international organizations willing to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in Ukraine.
