The Ministry of Digital Transformation has created a catalog of Ukrainian educational programs in the field of artificial intelligence

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has developed a catalog of educational programs for university students with information on the training of specialists in the field of artificial intelligence. The catalog includes data analysis, machine learning, computer vision, pattern recognition, natural language processing. Educational institutions can find similar programs for employer partners, philanthropists, and students.

Programs are formed according to the criteria:

• minimum number of ECTS credits for specialized courses: 40 for undergraduate and 2-year graduate programs or 30 credits for 1.5-year master’s programs
• expert review of the committee on the development of the field of artificial intelligence for compliance with the criteria, the availability of necessary information and compliance of specialized courses with the subject of artificial intelligence

Next, the ministry plans to further elaborate on the criteria for introducing additional educational programs and the possibility of sorting educational programs.

Valeria Ionan, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation on European Integration, emphasized that new digital professions are one of the priorities of the Ministry of Finance.

“By creating a site with educational programs in the field of artificial intelligence, we contribute to the development of new digital professions. We want to attract the attention of applicants to this promising and interesting direction. We also want to attract the attention of educational institutions so that they form a certain community in the field of artificial intelligence and stimulate each other to develop their own educational programs. The Ministry of Digital Development is ready to act as a platform and integrator for everyone who teaches new digital professions”, – said Valeria Ionan.

Olexandr Bornyakov, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for IT Development, is convinced: “The world is changing so dynamically that it is already obvious – a huge number of professions may disappear in the near future. So it makes sense to acquire new professions related to the latest technology. It is this area that artificial intelligence is. The market for the development of products based on artificial intelligence is developing rapidly in Ukraine. Now more and more vendors are offering various AI business solutions. The community of artificial intelligence engineers is growing every year in Ukraine. Therefore, we at Minzifri strive to create the conditions for a high-quality educational process in the field of artificial intelligence and other digital professions”.
