A laboratory for researching the energy potential of solid waste was opened at the University of Oil and Gas
In the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, a laboratory for determining the specific heat of combustion of solid domestic waste (SDW) was created.
It will determine the energy potential of solid waste, as well as explore the possibility of managing solid waste by heat treatment to recover energy and improve energy efficiency.
It is planned that according to the research results, scientists will provide proposals for local authorities, in particular, on solving the problem with the accumulation of waste in the region.
The opening of the laboratory took place within the framework of the transboundary cooperation project “Energy recovery from municipal solid waste (SDW) using thermal conversion technologies in the transboundary region (EnyMSW)”.
