On September 8-11, free webinars on using the Web of Science Core Collection database will be held for Ukrainian scientists

During September 8-11, 2020, Ukrainian scientists will be able to take webinars on the possibilities of using the resources of the Web of Science Core Collection platform in order to effectively use them in their scientific and innovative activities.

The webinars are held in Ukrainian and are free of charge.

Every day there will be a webinar on a new topic, which will be repeated twice or three times, so that listeners can choose the most convenient time for themselves.

The webinars are organized by Clarivate Analytics. Iryna Tikhonkova, an expert on information and analytical resources and training of the company, will conduct classes.

In order to register for the webinars, you must fill out the registration form, which is available under the word Register after clicking on the corresponding link.

Participants who attend at least 90% of the classes will receive the appropriate certificates.

Theme: Selection of publications in the Web of Science Core Collection: the quality criteria, the assessment procedure

Description: Journal functions. The role, rights and obligations of authors, reviewers, members of the editorial board. How to find reviewers and who should be on the editorial board. Technical, scientific quality criteria and mandatory elements of scientific publications: website, ISSN, doi. How to determine how many citations an edition has if it is not indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection? What editions should you look up to and what you can borrow to develop your edition. Theme: Using the Web of Science Core Collection for scientific work

Description: Registration on the platform. User cabinet capabilities. Continuation of roaming access. Characteristics of the Web of Science Core Collection base. Algorithm for searching and analyzing literature in the Web of Science Core Collection: search operators, abbreviations and replacements. Theme: Possibilities of the analytical tool InCites (a review webinar on the possibility of using the analytical tool InCites by universities and scientific institutions of Ukraine).

Description: What data is used, what indicators are calculated, what is CNCI, what to look for when analyzing the achievements of an institution, how to compare higher education institutions in terms of achievements in a particular area of ​​research.
