Last year, the startup won the national final of ClimateLaunchpad, and then entered the world’s top 16 projects of this competition in Amsterdam.

Where will the investments go?

As AIN.UA was told in Carbominer, the company will use the raised funds to create industrial modules for producing carbon dioxide using its own technology, as well as to expand the team. Now the company is hiring production personnel.

By the end of 2020, Carbominer plans to manufacture the first pieces of equipment and place them for testing in greenhouses.

The company is also looking for partners to enter Western markets. First of all, the startup is interested in Spain, Holland, Turkey and other countries with a developed greenhouse industry.

SMRK comment

“We got to know a startup and were very inspired by their technology to capture CO2 from the atmosphere of our planet using a modular plant. Carbon Capture is one of the most promising areas in the fight to reduce CO2 levels and we believe that Carbominer can solve this problem in an innovative way”, – SMRK commented to AIN.UA.

Realizing the importance of the problem being solved, the market prospects and taking into account the first results of the team, we decided to support the project with financing”.
