The competition of Ukrainian-Chinese research projects for 2021-2022 starts

From January 1, 2021, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC announce a competition for joint Ukrainian-Chinese research projects for 2021-2022.

The competition is open to any research group of higher educational institutions, scientific institutions and enterprises of both countries.

Works are accepted until February 28, 2021.

They can be submitted in the following priority areas:

    • information and communication technologies;
    • energy and energy efficiency;
    • rational use of natural resources, including agricultural technologies;
    • life sciences, in particular the treatment of coronavirus pneumonia and research on effective drugs;
    • new substances and materials;
    • basic sciences.

To participate in the competition, it must be submitted:

    • the cover letter on the letterhead of the applicant institution addressed to the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mykola Kizim in one copy. In the letter, it is necessary to indicate the name of the general project and the name of the scientific supervisor within the framework of the competition;
    • the completed application form for participation in the competition in Ukrainian and English in two paper copies with signatures and seals of both parties;
    • the completed form with brief information about the work: bit.ly/3o5a1M9;
    • confirmation letter from the Chinese partner (project manager), on the letterhead of the partner institution (1 copy);
    • examination certificate for the open publication of research results on the project topic (1 copy);
    • an annotation to the project in Ukrainian and English with the signature of the project manager (1 copy);
    • CV in Ukrainian and English, Ukrainian and Chinese scientific advisers to the project (1 copy each).

All paper materials should be collected in one folder. The organizers will consider only those applications that are executed in accordance with the specified requirements and were sent on time.

They can be submitted in two ways:

    • send by mail (the date is determined by the stamp on the envelope of the postal item);
    • hand over personally – leave in the correspondence box, which is located in the lobby of the Ministry of Education and Science at the above address.

Project leaders and key contributors can submit multiple applications. However, managers will not be able to obtain funding for more than one project.
