Created a unique sensor that can be printed on human skin
American scientists have developed a sensor that can be printed directly on human skin. It will help track body temperature as well as blood oxygen levels.
To get rid of the sensor, simply rinsing it off with hot water will be enough, New Atlas reports.
Scientists have assured that the device is absolutely safe for the body. This is especially important for people with sensitive skin, in particular children and older people.
The sensor is ecological and is recyclable. After all, deleting does not damage it. The device can be useful and will not be an additional burden to people or the environment, – emphasized Huaniyu Chen, head of the study.
The developers continue to work on improving the device. They intend to use it in the future to track specific symptoms, for example – COVID-19.
How the sensor works
For the manufacture of the device, scientists have created a mixture that includes polyvinyl alcohol and calcium carbonate – they are in the shell of chicken eggs, as well as masks for cleaning the face.
The mixture should be applied to the body at room temperature, it smoothes the skin. Next, you can print a thin layer of metal patterns, after which you need to dry it. At the same time, the person will not feel pain.
