Lego will pay for ideas of new worlds and characters from $ 10,000 to $ 50,000

What is the program

This isn’t Lego’s first attempt at collecting ideas from its own users. The company has a Lego Ideas program – if a toy is created based on your idea, then you will receive pianos in 1% of its sales.

LWB is different in that it’s not about toys, but about franchises.

“If we like the world about the Alien Mermaid Princess, we will make content, toys, attractions in our parks, etc. based on it”, – explained Keith Malone, Lego Head of Entertainment Development.

Popular ideas on LWB can grow into a series of YouTube videos, or more if successful. Lego will be helped with this by Tongal Inc., which works with creators to create content for companies and advertisers.

How to suggest an idea

To do this, you need to register on the platform. After that, users can add their own concept art, videos, or text descriptions of ideas. You can not only design your own world, but also participate in ideas proposed by other users.

You must be 18 years of age or older to submit an idea.

How much pay

If the idea is taken into development, its author will be paid $ 10,000. And if bought – $ 50,000.

In total, the company is allocating $ 500,000 of the budget for experiments with LWB this and the next two years.
