In 20 minutes. OPPO startup introduced fast charging technology for smartphones
OPPO unveils 125W ultra-fast wired charging that can charge a 4000mAh phone battery in 20 minutes.
According to the company’s engineers, the technology, which has not yet appeared in smartphones, “is the most advanced in the industry”.
The device supports 20W 6.25A charging and has significantly improved power properties, which can effectively shorten the charging time while avoiding the oversize of the charger.
The 125W charging technology is based on the existing 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 charging protocol. The VOOC charging protocol has always been about increasing current, not voltage, to increase overall power. With 125W Flash Charge technology, OPPO doubled the voltage with the current, staying about the same.
In addition, thanks to the technology used in Orro’s 125W Flash Charge, it was possible to strengthen the security protection functions in the system. This is made possible by 10 additional temperature sensors that monitor the status of the device, ensuring maximum safety while charging.
OPPO also announces the readiness of a fast wireless system. OPPO claims its new 65W AirVOOC technology can charge a 4,000mAh battery wirelessly in 30 minutes, making it even faster than any wired solution currently available.
OPPO has developed a 65W AirVOOC charger, but it is not yet known when it will be available or when phones will support it. Finally, OPPO has announced a pair of compact adapters: a 50W SuperVOOC and a 110W device, the size of a regular 18W adapter.
