BlockCrushr has accused ConsenSys of stealing payment platform developments

Canadian blockchain startup BlockCrushr has filed a lawsuit against the Ethereum accelerator ConsenSys, accusing it of stealing trade secrets. This is stated in the company’s claim, writes “Forklog“.

According to the plaintiffs, ConsenSys used the company’s developments to launch the Daisy Payments payment platform. As a result, this project was launched a day before the release of its own platform BlockCrushr.

BlockCrushr was a participant in the ConsenSys startup acceleration program, which invested $ 100,000 in the project. The BlockCrushr founders provided the mentors with all the information about the future platform, including the project code and basic technical solutions.

Shortly thereafter, the plaintiffs said, ConsenSys stopped communicating with the BlockCrushr team. The startup also did not receive the promised additional funding, which forced the management to lay off several employees.

Through the court, BlockCrushr seeks a ban on the use of its developments by ConsenSys, as well as compensation for damage caused.
