Product Hunt Founder launches online pitch site: startup demos – once a week
Product Hunt founder Rayan Hoover, as well as Weekendfund, ChapterOne, Shrug Capital, and others have launched the online platform Fundraise from Home. One of the goals of the project is to help startups raise money in the early stages during the coronavirus pandemic.

Here, startups can pitch their projects to early-stage investors online. It works like this:
- Startup founders submit a video about their business through the site.
- Every week, investors evaluate applications and vote for the finalists.
- Selected founders pitch their projects to a group of investors during an online demo day.
- Investors write to the founders who are interested in them for 7 days after this.
According to Jeff Morris from ChapterOne, the idea to launch such a service for startups was offered to him by Rayan, who had already discussed it with his Weekendfund partner, Vedika Jane. Jeff supported the idea because it “democratizes the fundraising process” and gives “one-click access to many VC funds”.
