Seminar “Valuation and accounting of intellectual property rights rating”
On February 27, 2020 at the Ukrainian Institute of Scientific and Technical Expertise and Information scientific and practical seminar “Valuation and accounting of intellectual property rights rating” was held.
Workshop Supervisor – Tymoshchyk Liliya Pavlivna, Candidate of Economic Sciences, court expert, assessor, head of the laboratory of economic research of the Scientific and Research Center of Court expert on Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
The following issues were discussed at the seminar:
- valuation of intellectual property rights;
- peculiarities of accounting, tax accounting of intangible assets in the higher education institutions and scientific organizations;
- approaches to identifying royalties in technology transfer agreements. Types of royalties. The practice of applying royalty rates.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the higher education institutions and scientific organizations, industry institutes, institutes of postgraduate education, scientists, inventors, patent attorneys, graduate students, students, all interested persons.
During the seminar, such teaching methods as mini-lectures, hands-on sessions on developing approaches to royalty in technology transfer agreements were applied.
The topic of the seminar aroused great interest, there was a sharp discussion about the valuation of the objects of intellectual property rights and the peculiarities of accounting, tax accounting of intangible assets in higher education institutions and scientific organizations.
